Making books

When I prepare a book, several factors determine the binding. Often, I will create a book simply because I want to make a book with that type of binding. In other cases, I have a concept which needs an appropriate binding. The conceptual phase can be the most difficult, but the most rewarding. Mock up books are made to ensure that the concept will actually work.

The books below are examples of my work. I have been making books since 1996. With each book I attempt to improve on either my bookmaking skills or the content, ie photography. Each was a challenge conceptually and in production. Enjoy.
